Our Wish List

Many of our needs for in-kind items at this moment are related to our ongoing work serving Chicagoans experiencing homelessness or poverty during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Food and Beverages

    Your donation of the following items will help us continue to provide meals to the individuals and families served by The Night Ministry.

    Sack Suppers

    Sack suppers with sandwich (meat and cheese only, no condiments), fruit cup, and snack

    Meals for The Crib Overnight Shelter

    We are accepting home or restaurant prepared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners to feed 25 at our overnight shelter. Meal drop-off or delivery should be scheduled in advance.

  • Sanitary Supplies and Personal Protective Gear

    We know the following items are difficult to find at this time, but they are essential for us to continue providing services on the streets and at our Youth Housing Programs.

    • Hand sanitizer
    • Disinfectant wipes
    • Disposable gloves
    • Surgical and N95 respirator masks

  • Gift Cards and Ventra Passes

    Restaurant and Grocery Gift Cards

    During the COVID-19 pandemic, consider donating restaurant or Jewel-Osco gift cards to support our meal programs.

    Gift Cards for Client Use

    Gift cards also provide our clients with the means to purchase clothing, groceries, or a meal while Ventra passes allow them to get to school, work, and job interviews.

    • $25: Target, Walmart, Jewel-Osco
    • $10-25: Family Dollar
    • $10: Walgreens, CVS, Jewel-Osco, Mariano‚Äôs, Dunkin Donuts
    • $5-10: McDonalds, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Subway
    • Single ride Ventra Passes for transit on CTA and Pace

  • Clothing

    Simple clothing items go a long way in bringing comfort to those whom we serve. We are in need of the following items:

    • Packages of new adult size underwear (no bikinis, please)
    • Adult size white t-shirts
