Background
Volunteers have always been one of The Night Ministry’s most valuable assets. They help The Night Ministry provide critical services with direct services, support services, in-kind donations, or professional services.

Fiscal Year 2011 data
In Fiscal Year 2011, a duplicated number of 5,290 volunteers, individuals and groups, spent over 28,265 hours staging approximately 1,017 events that assisted clients in meeting survival needs. Among many other things, these initiatives provided 104,100 meals that were served to our clients out on Chicago's nighttime streets.
