Background
Our Continuing Care Services are available to all former residents of Open Door Youth Shelter - West Town. The program is designed to help prevent youth from returning to the streets and to provide supportive assistance once their stay at the shelter is finished.

Our Continuing Care Coordinator helps youth with maintaining housing, employment, educational opportunities and more. She supplies youth moving into their own apartments with household set up items including cleaning supplies, and vouchers from the Brown Elephant for furniture.

Our Continuing Care Coordinator makes home visits, helping youth continue gathering life skills, continue pursuing their educational and/or employment goals.

In fiscal year 2007, 103 youth received assistance from our Continuing Care program.
