The Congregation of Anshe Emet Synagogue has been actively involved with The Night Ministry since our founding in 1976. Their committed and inspiring volunteer efforts reveal a congregation dedicated to community building. Rabbi Elliott Cosgrove accepted the award on behalf of the Congregation, telling the story of how his eyes were opened to youth homelessness, and noting, “the power of one-on-one conversations.” Rabbi Daniel Burg followed, speaking of the quiet yet audacious power of the congregation’s commitment to social justice and the ability to identify “with a stranger, engaging in charitable acts measured by a universal humanity.”
