The staff of our Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program provides services in two locations: at Open Door Youth Shelter - Lakeview and out in the community. Below are the staff affiliated with our shelter program for pregnant and parenting minors age 14-18 and their infants/children.
Melissa Maguire, Director, Youth Shelter Network, supervises all operations of Open Door Youth Shelter - Lakeview, including staff, case management, resident programming, and the facility. She works closely with members of other departments on grant writing, budgeting, licensing issues, and human resources. She represents the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program to members of the community, funders, other agencies, and government representatives. She leads the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program Management Team.
Walonza Hall-Lee, Program Manager, is responsible the daily operations of the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program, policy, and staff supervision. She oversees all aspects of the program, and works closely with the Administrative Coordinator to ensure that the facility is operating at peak efficiency and meets code.
Felitha Jones Patterson, Case Manager Coordinator, coordinates case management plans for the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program clients at Open Door Youth Shelter - Lakeview and in the community. She supervises the community-based case managers, and works to assess community services and resources that can help clients in securing and maintaining safe, stable housing. She also provides case management services, supporting her young clients and helping them connect with needed health care, employment training, housing resources, mental health resources, and life skills. She is a member of the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program Management Team.
Yasmin Clarke, Youth Worker Supervisor, hires, trains, supervises and schedules the Youth Worker staff. She assists with programming for staff and residents. She works with Case Managers and Youth Workers to ensure residents follow their case plans. She works with volunteers, and is a member of the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program Management Team.
Follow Up Coordinator, coordinates and manages the contacts, tracking, data and information on the youth participating in the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program. She also provides follow up, contact and tracking of past participants. She researches, maintains and updates the statistical information and lists of resources necessary to support program participants. This postition is now open.
Marvette Boyd, Yashika Harrell, Jean Jones, Jacqueline McGee, Toya Moody, Deborah Muhammed, Phyllis Murphy, Catherine Murray, Equanda Summerville, Precious Tyler, Marie Voker, Juanita Walker, Catherine Westraand Vertie Wright. Youth Workers: are responsible for initial intakes and providing hospitality to youth entering the Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program. These dedicated staff are responsible for supervising residents in daily and independent living skills, and assuring they maintain adherence to their individual case plans.
