| The Outreach & Health Ministry Staff operates our Health Outreach Bus, our Rapid HIV Testing
Program, our health care work within The Night Ministry’s programs and in
collaborations with other agencies.
Mark Bradley, Director, Outreach and Health Ministry is responsible for the
planning, oversight and direction of the Outreach and Health Ministry Department.
He coordinates, supervises, and supports the Outreach & Health Ministry
staff. He schedules the Health Outreach Bus for appearances in parades
and at other functions. Additionally, he represents The Night Ministry in outreach
efforts with congregations, at panel discussions and workshops, and with collaborative
agencies. He assists the Volunteer Coordinator with the training of staff and
volunteers. He works with the Development Department on funding and reporting
issues.
Peggy Anderson, Administrative Coordinator, coordinates data management, prepares
funding requests and reports, and assists the Director. She also drafts grant
proposals and reports.
Keshia Kingcade , Administrative Assistant summarizes contact counts from the Bus
logs. These figures are used in reports and grant proposals. She is responsible
for ensuring that supplies for the Health Outreach vehicles are ordered, stored,
and stocked. Maintaining the Bus schedule is an additional duty.
Barbara Sexton, Community Health Program Manager, coordinates our community
health outreach program. She supervises our nursing staff, and builds/maintains
linkages with community health service providers and public health agencies.
Nancy Schreiber, Outreach Nurse, provides health care on the Health Outreach
Bus, including health assessments and referrals. She can treat many conditions,
including: injuries from recent assaults, sexually transmitted infections,
and upper respiratory infections. She can test clients for strep, pregnancy,
blood sugar and HIV/STDs. She keeps medical records for patients, and forward
records required by funding and accrediting sources to the Health Services
Coordinator.
Malcolm Griffith, Pastoral Services Manager, provides supervision and support for our Neighborhood Outreach Professionals, on the street and in the office. Along with other members of the Outreach & Health Ministry program, Malcolm builds relationships with community members to address the needs of the people we serve. He coordinates the maintenance of our Health Outreach Bus and helps represent The Night Ministry to other organizations.
Miguel Canchola, Carlos McFarlane, Faith Miller and Kim Ziyavo, Neighborhood
Outreach Professionals: are responsible
for building relationships, providing pastoral care, HIV education and prevention,
and referrals for social services in their assigned nighttime community.
David Wywialowski, Rapid HIV Coordinator, conducts
outreach and Rapid HIV testing, and offer pre- and post-test counseling.
Phyllis Capers, Health Educators, conduct prevention, education, pre- and post-test counseling, and testing for HIV (results in 20 minutes), Hepatitis C, Clamydia and Gonorrhea.
