Carole has over 20 years of experience in residential care with children and youth,
holding positions as Youth Care Worker, Group and Individual Counselor, Unit
Supervisor, Program Coordinator, Director of Education and Prevention, and currently
as Director of The Night Ministry's Open Door Youth Shelter. Throughout her residential
experience, Carole has worked with wards of the state, wards of the court, and
homeless youth. All of these youth had experienced some combination of physical,
sexual, and emotional abuse and/or neglect.
Carole received a B.S. in Education degree in Communicative Disorders from
the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She completed two years of graduate
work in Guidance and Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and received
an M.S. degree in Human Service Administration from Spertus College in Chicago.
