Acadia University and Acadia Divinity College in Wolfville, Nova Scotia where
he received a B.A. in religious studies and a Masters of Divinity Degree. In
the late 90’s, Mark came to Chicago to study urban ministry at SCUPE while
completing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary

as staff chaplain at a sister hospital in the Chicago area. During his time
at the hospital, he was ordained in the American Baptist Churches (USA), became
a board certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and
received a Doctor of Ministry degree.
Mark came to The Night Ministry in 1999 to work as a neighborhood outreach
minister in the Wicker Park community blending his passion for urban ministry
and quality pastoral care.
In 2001, he became Pastoral Services Coordinator. In 2004, he became the Director
of Outreach and Health Ministry.
Mark resides on the northwest side of Chicago with his wife and four children.
