The Night Ministry’s approximately 100 full and part-time staff members come from a wide variety of backgrounds, representing different ethnicities, educational levels, skills, religious affiliations, spiritual traditions, and sexual orientations. Staff members share a dedication to improving the lives of those we serve, and a high level of skill and talent whether their job is in direct service, volunteering, development, or administration.
The staff is committed to the following values:
Collaboration and Teamwork: We work as partners with our direct team members, other departments of The Night Ministry, and outside organizations to reach The Night Ministry’s goals.
Compassion: We treat others (those we serve, those we work with, those who support us, and those we do business with) and ourselves with kindness and care.
Respect: We celebrate human diversity. We accept and affirm individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual or gender orientation, age, disability, or socioeconomic status.
Accountability: We treat one another as though each person’s work matters. We have high expectations of ourselves and one another, and we demonstrate good stewardship of resources. We arrive on time, participate fully, demonstrate initiative, share information, and see to constructively resolve conflict. We conduct ourselves professionally, exercise good judgment, and follow through on our commitments.
Strengths-Based Service: We exist to serve clients and constituents (internal and external). In providing service, we seek to understand and build on each individual’s strengths and assets. We listen and learn.
