Workplace Giving Campaign
One way you can help The Night Ministry is to start a giving campaign at your
workplace. If your employer conducts a giving campaign but The Night Ministry
is not offered as a choice, we would like to be included as an option alongside
United Way and any other charities that may be represented.
If the United Way is your designated workplace giving campaign, you can still
support The Night Ministry by making a donor designated gift. When making such
a gift, you will need to identify The Night Ministry as the charity to which
you want the United Way to direct the contribution. Please be aware that United
Way will take a percentage of that designated gift to cover their overhead
and fundraising costs. The Night Ministry will then receive the remainder.
In addition to your workplace giving campaign, there are other ways that your
co-workers can join you in supporting The Night Ministry. Some workplaces host “Jeans
Days” where employees pay for the opportunity to wear jeans on a particular
day, with the proceeds benefiting The Night Ministry. Others forego purchasing
lunch out on a particular day and donate the proceeds to The Night Ministry.

Wedding Philanthropy
If the spirit of giving is an important part of your wedding celebration, consider
asking your friends and family to make a donation to The Night Ministry in
honor of your marriage. Since wedding philanthropy has become popular in
recent years, there are now a few charitable on-line wedding registries available
to couples, such as www.idofoundation.org and www.justgive.org

Get your kids involved
Adult supporters of The Night Ministry have expressed interest in educating
their kids about philanthropy through the work of The Night Ministry. Parents
who are charitable themselves often want to instill in their children a lifelong
interest in giving back through donating funds or volunteering.
Youth Fundraisers
Youth have collected donations from other students and family friends
and raised awareness of The Night Ministry’s work through high school
social and philanthropic clubs. Youth have donated money from birthdays and
bar and bat mitzvahs to benefit The Night Ministry’s programs.
Volunteering
There are many ways for individuals and groups to donate time and energy by volunteering.
Donate Proceeds from sale of items on eBay through MissionFish.org
MissionFish.org helps raise money for your nonprofit through trading on eBay.
You can donate proceeds from items you sell on eBay to The Night Ministry by
going to missionfish.org.
