Our Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program provides community-based programming dedicated to serving pregnant and/or parenting homeless teens.
Our community-based team provides social services to tenuously housed pregnant or parenting teens, ages 13-18, in their community (home, school, or other locations.) Case managers help teen moms build a support system and move toward finding solutions to their specific problems. Services are no cost, but participants must show progress toward case plan goals to continue receiving services.
Together, they develop a strategy with short- and long-term goals including:
- prenatal and child care
- medical and mental health care for mother and children
- acquiring safer, more stable housing
- accessing public aid
- vocational training
- connection to educational opportunities
- family life and parenting education
- daycare
- life skills (self-esteem, budgeting, and more)
- support groups
- general assistance
Program goals include:
-
