Our Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program is relatively new. If you have a question that you can't find the answer to on our web site, contact our web master for the answer.
Q. What are the main areas you address with the infants and children of your program participants?
A. Health and development are key areas. All infants and children are assessed using the "Ages and Stages" development screen to evaluate physical, emotional and social development. Another priority is to ensure that all immunization schedules are current.
Q. What happens when a young mother or mother-to-be leaves the program?
A. Most often, participants in this program return home or go stay with other family members, but they are still in need of services and support. All Response-Ability Pregnant and Parenting Program residents are referred to our Community-Based Case Managers, who develop relationships with them while they are staying at Open Door Youth Shelter - Lakeview.
Q. What is the average age of the teen moms you serve?
