Daily Rules for Response-Ability Pregnant & Parenting Program

Daily Goals - All residents must demonstrate they are following their case plan and making progress toward self-sufficiency.

Monthly prenatal care - all pregnant residents must receive monthly prenatal care.

Parenting classes - all residents must attend parenting groups offered at the shelter.

Housekeeping - residents are responsible for keeping their storage area neat, making the bed, storing belongings neatly, and removing trash from the area.

Laundry - residents are responsible for personal belongings and their bedding. Residents must wash, dry, fold, and put away their own laundry, including bedding and towels each week.

Chores - weekly, a chore list is posted with chore assignments, which include helping with meal preparation and clean up, dish duty, cleaning the bathrooms, taking out the garbage, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and general clean-up.

Curfew - Residents must abide by the curfews – 6pm for dinner, 8:00 pm for the night.

Budget - As part of life skills training, residents with jobs must save 60% of their income. Residents prepare a budget with the case manager, which includes transportation, clothing, personal products, and entertainment.
