Rules are set up to ensure that the group living situation in our Response-Ability Pregnant & Parenting Program runs smoothly, safely, and effectively. All residents must agree to abide by the rules before they are accepted into the program.
Residents may not bring weapons, alcohol, or drugs into the shelter or onto the grounds. Also, residents may not display gang representation, smoke inside the shelter, engage in gambling or sexual activity, steal, threaten, or be physically violent toward others. Doors to the outside must remain closed and locked at all times. As mandated by the State of Illinois, residents may not care for another resident’s child. Violation of these rules that threaten the safety of the shelter is cause for immediate discharge from the program.
