| The Night Ministry’s Youth Outreach Team operates the Preventive After School Support (PASS) program
on Mondays near Senn High School on Chicago’s
north side. Senn has the highest concentration of homeless students in Chicago.
Outreach workers build relationships with high school youth as they leave school. Staff offer an after-school snack, school supplies, self care supplies, and school uniform tee-shirts. and all the resources
and services. Workers are prepared to help kids in
crisis situations, give referrals to The Night Ministry’s Open Door Shelter,
Outreach & Health Ministry, the Broadway Youth Center, and other youth-serving
organizations.
During the school year, the program operates from 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm. During summer school, the program operates from 12 noon to 1:00 pm.
