About 25,000 youth in Illinois experience homelessness each year, nearly 10,000
in Chicago.
The Night Ministry provides a continuum of age-appropriate services for homeless
youth. Staff help youth
identify their own strengths, advocate for themselves, and create solutions
to their own problems.
- Our Youth Outreach Team reaches out to homeless and at-risk youth in Lakeview,
Edgewater, and Rogers Park and provides individualized services at the Broadway
Youth Center Drop-In program.
- Our Youth Housing programs provide housing and supportive
services for homeless and runaway youth, ages 14-20, and their children.
- Our Response-Ability Pregnant & Parenting Program provides supportive
services to pregnant and parenting teens to strengthen family support systems,
reduce subsequent pregnancies, keep teens in school, improve parenting skills, and increase the safety and
stability of their living situations. We offer services in the community and at an 8-bed, 8-crib shelter dedicated to homeless pregnant and parenting teens.
- Continuing Care provides encouragement and practical resources to help former
residents maintain stable housing.
